Raw Astora Sword
only requires 10 str 10 dex and 12 fth, no idea why people bother with dark swords compared to it.

I was looking at the flamberge. higher base damage than the astora, bleed, and the stat requirements are pretty low with a knight starting class.

It's a lot slower than the Astora, though. The DPS isn't even close. The extra weight is going to matter on a low level, too. And it's a stupidly rare drop.

What are the best sets with capes? I wanted lothric knight cape but it's red and not blue.

Good luck with blue armor. There's like three sets in the entire game that are blue and they don't match each other. None have capes.

I don't need blue capes, I just disliked red ones. Never was a fan of balder knights as well. Just wanted a generic direction to capes, currently using sunset and xantous sets combined.
You can also mix blue/black or blue/white sets.

Fallen Knight has a tattered cloak
Leonhard's set has a nice cape
Undead Legion cape is cool, but everyone wears that set
Drang Armor makes you look like john snow
