I really liked season one, but season 2 and Wolf Among Us have used the exact same mechanics and its getting old. I'm more lenient on the choices thing for S1 first because the story was actually good and second because it was the first of its kind.
And frankly zombies are done to death anyway. Again, S1 got away with it because it was a focused character story unlike S2's endless cascade of misery. S3 either needs actual meaningful choices or a really fucking good story because otherwise Telltale games are dead to me.

I can see the point with this, but the problem with Telltale is the way they've created their own tropes, which makes your choices both predictable and less meaningful.
For instance if there is the possibility of saving a character or not, either way you're typically just delaying that character's inevitable death, since that character is essentially pushed to the backburner until the writers call for their sacrifice.
