Its hard to say. There are a lot of signs pointing to a very lose adaptation.
As OP mentioned, the main characters name literally sounds JUST like Jan Ors. She is going to have to go undercover in an attempt to steal the deathstar plans.
Also there are THESE, who are being refered to as Death Troopers (there is no way there aren't inspired by Dark Troopers). I'm curious to see if they are droids, or how big of a role they play in the plot
