I've played the game and I can tell you OP is fucking wrong. Something about the game does feel off, though I can't put my finger on it, but it's got lots of enemies at once and the levels are quite expansive.

Hell, in the game, anytime anyone spouts exposition, Doom guy just ignores it. Ripping the monitors people are talking from, kicking a container when someone said to carefully extract something out of it etc. The story is there, but it is pretty barebones if you want to get onto gameplay.
