I had the same setup. My monitor didn't have speakers. Just upgraded to PS4 so I'm glad the controller has a headphone jack

I used to have a TV on my desk that I also used as a monitor,, but it broke so I just bought a monitor instead. It's still pretty big, 27 inches compared to the TV which was 32.
Maybe eventually I'll get a massive TV to put on the wall for console games but there aren't any in the near future that I'm excited enough about to get one for.
Just what is even the point of a TV?

Plasma have great response time(they all are really 60hz tops) just the technology of the panel make it more faster than LCD.
shame the burn it issui, they are great for movios but no for games.
played my ps3 on a 1600x900 monitor for a couple years.
it was fine.
PS3 on a 1080p monitor looks pretty ugly. Consoles are made to be seen at a considerable distance from the TV.
