Was there anything that said that BotC was given the option to link the first flame? It's been so long since I last played, and the only thing I remember is the Throne of Want being inside of a kiln. I do remember being able to walk away in SotFS though, as well as the whole immortality deal.

He isn't just DaS1's player character or Gwyn. Probably Gwyn's moveset has some prevalence because he was the first to link the fire but that's it.

Impossible to dodge? That faggot never even hit me. Even still, I liked him. He easily has the largest move pool of any boss in the series. I'm a little upset they recycled Gwyn, but he fought differently enough that it felt like a different boss.
Champion Gundyr and Nameless King were better fights, but Soul of Cinder was definitely better than Nashandra.
Does it make any sense to play with anything other than sword or axe?
I grabbed a lucerne but have no fun whatsoever playing this weapon (compared to dark souls 2).
