It has approximately the same physical AR of most other UGS. The lightning is strictly a bonus and crits ignore defenses entirely. Hornet ring with this thing is instant death.

Is it just me or are greatswords/axes/clubs terrible in PVE this time around? They're still good in PVP, but not great. I tried Fume, Guts' GS, Lothric, BK GS, BK Greataxe and just for fun, Havel's club thing.

UGS are fine though. Fume is shit though, dunno about Guts's but i bet it's shit too. Profaned is probably the best one.
Hammers are 2slow for the fast pace that souls 3 has.

I didn't realize how hard they nerfed Power Within in this game. Third time through the game using a pyromancer build and just picked it up and never saw how kind of shit it was.

I tried BKGA and Machete, most of the time I end up trading blows or waiting quite a while before being able to get a clean hit/combo in.
Best example would be Dragonslayer Armour, died several times using BKGA. Won extremely easily in one-shot using Dark Sword.

That's because long swords ARE better, and pretty easy mode. That doesn't mean the other weapons are shit or bad.
I barely had any trouble with any boss when using an UGS, except for Nameless King.
Anyone use nameless king's sword? The drake one. That shit's pretty fast and the weapon art seems good. Dunno how it is on math though.

Why is this a greatsword, it's the same size as most straight swords, it even looks awkward for your character to wield that thing like it's massive or something.
Why did they shit on this, it's literally been my favorite weapon in the series. At min requirements it has 416 ar at +5. With 40/40/60 str/dex and int it has 467 AR. What the fuck.I still use it in pvp as my only weapon, kill me
