Eh, it's worth a playthrough. I don't think it's anywhere near as good as the original though - there's only a handful of particularly interesting levels, health fountains can only be used once before they disappear forever which makes repeat visits a pain in the ass, the love subplot feels pretty forced, the final level has some of the worst camera work you'll find in a playable 5th gen game, and while some of the new ideas like Dan Hand and guns are neat there are others like Dankenstein that are just a bore. Still, it does have its moments with levels like Kew Gardens and Kensington, as well as theJack the Ripper boss fight.

yes it is, but Dragoon added a combo system for each character, if you it the buttons ass they appear you get a combo, which depending on which one and its level will do more damage, and Legaia lets you input a button combo before you attack, which again depending on the attack will determine the damage

Yes, but the "all chalices found" ending in MediEvil 1 is just tacked onto the normal ending. In both endings, Dan returns to his crypt and dies. If you haven't gotten all of the chalices, that's it. If you have, then he is welcomed into the Hall of Heroes and gets to sit at the head of the table for a feast.

Really? I first played it around that age and it's been a favorite of mine ever since. I'd go so far as to say it probably influenced my favoring for these sort of darker, gothic settings. Gallowmere is still one of my favorite settings of any game I've played to date.
