Is it a good 2D Soulslike?
>>
Why does everything have to be compared to Dark Souls? This genre existed long before Dark Souls, it's called a platform ARPG
>>
It's good. The character art is a bit meh, but the gameplay is fun.
>>
enjoy our scraps once again
>>
>>337934626
While I agree with you this particular game is without a doubt intended to be Dark Souls in 2D
>>
It's really fun. Buy it.

However, there was no map on ps4 which FUCKING SUCKED and the art direction is pretty terrible. Other than that it's awesome and is exactly what it set out to be, a 2d dark souls for better or worse.
>>
Played this on ps4, its pretty great. Truly plays like dark souls in 2d

My only big complaint is the art style, while quaint, it doesnt recreate the epic vistas found in souls

Also, a lack of online feature, apart from message bottles, is incredibly disappointing
>>
Is the German translation for it on PC still the same hilarious mess that the PS4 version was?
That's kinda a dealbreaker because I totally want to witness that shit myself.

Seconding
>>
>>337935107
I liked the fact there was no map, it made me learn, memorise and explore like dark souls did which i think is part of the enjoyment
>>
>>337935530
Spanish Dark Souls 1 was a total mess too.
Oh and Spanish DS2 had exchanged stats.
>>
Where's the torrent /v/?

I know I can trust you on this.
>>
Kinda regret buying PS4 version, never even made it to the second boss and not touched it since launch. Didn't wow me but I hope the later areas have better background scenery. It was alright but I think scene transitions really take out the Dark Souls world design aspect I love even if it all connects in a realistic manner.

I enjoyed it more than DS3.

Fuck this gay earth.

I rather have it on Vita

you could atleast try a bit more
>>

And PCfags wonder why people hate them. Just buy the fucking game, it's literally like $15. christ.
>>
>>337940984
I won't hate you if you buy the game and upload the fucking .rar
>>
>>337940984

if there was a demo Id play it, but there isnt
>>
>>337940984
I am a software developer myself, and want DRM to spread.

So I only buy games that are always-online or use Denuvo and pirate everything else.
>>
>>337940984
It's not like I would play it if I had to pay for it. I have the real thing, so I have no interest in buying a tribute-demake stuff, maybe I would've if it came before Dark Souls 3, but oh wait, it didn't.

Even so, if I love it, I might buy it on the next sales for a lower price. That's a lot comming from someone who played it for free and wouldn't have played it otherwise, don't you think?
>>
>>337935812
>>337935886
>>337936767
denuvo :^)
>>
>>337941262
Would you really buy the game, even if there was a demo? Also steam refunds exist, faggot.
>>337941369
Literally what. The "real thing"? Just because a game borrows gameplay ideas from another series doesn't mean it's a tribute. It's just a different game using the same style of gameplay. I guess Okami is just a tribute to Zelda since it uses the same dungeon progression, so it's okay to pirate? Christ, the mental gymnastics you people do to justify stealing is hilarious
>>
>>337941943

>Would you really buy the game, even if there was a demo?

yes, just like Ive done with at least 20 other steam games I pirated
>>
I'm a sucker for low-budget, indie look-like-shit games like this one, Darkwood, etc so I'll pirate it when a torrent is avalible.
>>
>>337940984
>buying shit games
Nah, I'd rather pirate.
>>
>>337942012
Then buy it and if you don't like it, refund it. Demos last about two hours anyways.

its actually p bad. I own it on PS4 and it's just not good.

terrible art too.
>>
>>337942314

or I could demo it by pirating, and then wait for a sale like anyone with a brain would do
>>
>>337941943
I'm going to pirate it anyway son. Sorry if it hurts your feelings.
>>
>>337934480

I'd punch the cunt that coined that cancerous term. It's a fun game tho, I'd say go for it.
>>
>>337942410
It's on sale right now
>>337942436
It doesn't hurt my feelings, do whatever you want, but don't try to justify what you're doing as anything but a scummy move.
>>
>>337940984
>the best non-Dark Souls soulslike
This doesn't mean much, really.
>made by an indie team, with little budget
How is this relevant to anything?
>finally released on PC
because the devs wanted to milk the game on a platform that they didn't even consider initially. How is his a defense?
>immediately people are asking for a torrent
Blame the lack of demo.
>but Steam refund
I don't see why I (the customer) should be bothered with adding steam funds, buying a game that I might or might not like, downloading it, refund it if I didn't like it and then refunding the steam funds when they could just release a demo.

Dumbfucks.
Why stay true indie when you can go the Indivisible route? Ask for 1.5 million dollars in whatever kikestarter-like platform while also bending your ass over to the publisher overlords so they give you 2 extra millions on top of that. That way you can make a half-assed game worth no more than 250grand and blow the rest of the money in coke, gender-unspecific strippers and overpriced and equally half-assed Californian wine.
All the benefits with none of the effort, man.

That's nice. I've been waiting for some game to dig my heels into. I guess this will do for a while.
I'll probably get bored of it fast, though. I got bored of Hyperlight Drifter before I even reached the first boss battle. These "souls" games are getting old.

cracked .dll files are just as likely to contain viruses as executables, in fact it's mostly the same code inside of them. they're all trying to do the same thing: emulate steam so that it fools the program into running
