Screenshots make it look like an iOS mobile game. Obviously it's early days, but based on them it's legitimately the ugliest 4X I've ever seen. Won't be playing it on that basis alone.

On release it will be barebones, buggy and imbalanced. A year later an expansion will come out making it moderately less broken. A year and a half after that the 2nd expansion will finally bring it up to par with Civ V. This is how these games always work.
