It had a dozen good games, but only 3 or 4 amazing games.

The whole reason E3 glory days are over because today its very easy for publiseshers to reach and presents its producuts to the media/press and consumers without using E3, you have from youtube to twitch and all kind of different forums and events, and it all costs less then E3.
Before the Mobile phone and internet boom, E3 could charge millions for a small place because at that time it was the best way to get your products out.
