How, after FOUR FUCKING GAMES, can the climbing still be so terrible?
The idea of breaking up the combat with platforming and climbing is great, but it's so bad. Actually, it's not even bad, it's just nothing. You press the stick and X, that's almost all there is to it. There are a few times were you have to time a jump after a slide or get a swing mid-air, but that's like the peak of player interaction when climbing.
It's so painfully boring.
So, is it worth the $60?
I liked the first three but I never paid more than $15 for each.

Then he fucking Dragonball elbow dropped her through a goddamn skyscrapper, and Sam right after that, nearly blew her fucking brains out. Why don't people remember that scene? It's a visual treat, with the best combat in the series to date, but you can count the enemy encounters on two hands, and the 'platforming' in-between is mostly boring, the puzzles are tedious slogs through stupid shit, and the only sense of adventure peppered through the levels is picking shit up and reading it, ala The Order.

I think you would enjoy it quite a bit. The game is a nice adventure, but you should play the other three games first, since this is the last one. But if you don't want to play the other games, the story in four is contained enough and gives you a solid story without the need of playing the other games.
