Are survival horror games more comfy with female protagonists?

Left or right /v/?
>>337888870
Define, "comfy".. is comfy lookin at ass?
>>337888991not right
If by comfy you mean arousing
>>337888870
>ashley
>protagonist
>>337888991
heather4lyfe
>>337889127
>>337889048
I prefer Ashley. Heather is kinda a bitch. Ashley is more wife material.
>>337889092
Playing with boners is not comfy. I would know, ask me.
>>337888870
Heather > Shit > Ashley
>>337889262
You're lying, there's nothing more comfy than masturbation
>>337889127
You controlled her for a small amount of time. She was the protagonist.
>>337888870
Now that you mention it, absolutely. Never really thought about it but I definitely see a correlation.
>>337888991
Heather of course.
>>337889204
>wife material
>clingy, shrill and absolutely worthless and belongs in the waste bin which the game allows you to put her in
whatever you say, anon. At least she isn't AI controlled Sheva from RE5
>>337888991
Right. Ashley was high test.
>>337889490
Ashley is thicc meanwhile Heather looks like a cancer patient.
>>337888870
I wouldn't say the gender of the MC makes the game less scary.
>>337889494
Don't you mean high est?
>>337889386Darkness definitely had her place.
But Aqua is still the best.
I didn't like heather that much
>>337889629
>Having shit taste
>>337888870
No, the intent is generally to make you feel more vulnerable or weak to enhance your fear. This is the opposite of comfy
>>337889614Fine taste

baaaaaaaaa
I think it has to do with female protagonists in horror genres in general. Archetype main girl is almost always survives. You have that for an edge.
Also I find comfort in your abilities and expectations within the game. For example, while not horror but off the top of my head, Mirrors Edge. If I can get a gun, I'm good. But, they also built the game so I can just run away instead.
Back to horror, so it may already be a fucked comparison, in Amnesia TDD, I'm a guy, it would be expected that I could fight back, but I can't, I don't get any guns or anything.
I don't know, but I see where you're going with this.

This.
PS1 had some great horror heroines. Maybe that Japs never got the memo that horror stuff starred girls because it was more acceptable for them to scream, because they gave us Jill, Aya, and Regina instead.Although granted PE2 had one of the worst and most embarrassing "romantic" sub-plots ever.

leon was the protagonist. ashley was just the bitch who didn't know how to climb down ladders.
>>337889862
well it doesn't work because the big hunk (me as the player) is there comforting the vulnerable girl and vice versa so it feels more like watching a horror movie with your girlfriend
