Friendly reminder that Sega literally created DLC
I miss Sega.
>>337880756
Sonic & Knuckles wasn't downloadable. And expansion packs existed before that.
>>337880756
sonic and knuckles was a full game by itself tho. if you consider that DLC, then so is SOnic 1 and SOnci 2
>>337880756
>reminder that microtransactions
All that shit couldn't fit on one cartridge you stupid whore
>>337881256
how did this game even make it past location tests
what the fuck man
I want old Sega and Nintendo back.
>dlc is bad meme
When the base game's content is large enough then adding more by the means of DLC is fine.
The cart added what, like 2 more full games? They didn't release it day 1 along side Sonic3
>>337881256
A better question would be "How did it even?"

Sega was there all along through last gen. It was YOU who failed them. Localizations dried up when sales did. Binary Domain? Forget about it, 20k first month sales. New smaller IP digital games like Renegade Ops, Hell Yes, or The Cave? Forgotten. Phantasy Star? Servers were underpopulated. After Burner and Outrun? Gone and not coming back because restoring the licenses to the cars/jets will cost more than they will make back. Sonic? Even with good games like Unleashed, Colors, Generations, and the racing spinoffs, the smell of Sonic 06 lingered all throughout last gen.
Sega died and its YOUR fault.
>>337880756
How? Because there has been extra content you have to pay for that existed long before that
>>337881732
Sega going 3D was a mistake.
>>337882529
On the contrary, their failing to properly jump to 3D is what damaged them hard
>>337880756
They actually did, but not through sonic

this

>putting on your trip to "this" a post
>>337884657
Dont question tripfags. Theyre in a world of their own
pls
>>337880756
>legitimate time shortage and added content to said extra-levels
>vs deliberate microtransactions and data cutting-and-reselling
Nah. Horse Armor will always be the culprit.
>>337882991
Nah. That thing downloaded full games. That was more like pioneering online 'rentals' like PS store does now with movies.
>>337880756
expansion packs aren't DLC. the current trend started with, arguably, horse armor
atari actually had something akin to DLC through some weird phone service
>>337881732
I sincerely apologize for not buying 7 copies of Shenmue for myself and for not urging all my friends to do the same. I didn't have a whole lot of extra cash back then.
>>337889845
Its everyones fault, not only yours. But yes you played a part in Segas death too. Their presence this gen has been very light
