I resubbed when the expansion happened, I played for like a month and then after raiding the ONE RAID they had available multiple times I got so bored. Ended up only releasing 3 total raids for an entire expansion... Blizz should just let WoW die at this point, they only make money off the selling of Xpacs

I do believe there are accounts of gnomed being just shy of a late second edition. Possibly explains their lack of presence in an FMV too and then Blizz just memed on them in successive videos.

I can't bring myself to play WoD/Legion. Something about it just seems so pathetic to me. It sort of depresses me. I know it shouldn't. I have friends still playing 1.6 for fucks sake, but it just seems worse. Like I can't let it go.

This, just logged in on the Uther realm after 1 and a half years off. Needed some cheap good fun after work, street fighter 5 is pretty cool, dark souls 3 is fun, but my buddy borrowed my copy of mgsv which is my favorite at the moment. Wow is perfect for me right now.

Never played nost so I don't know what they're like. But Kronos is a lot of fun, mostly really nice folks (if you ignore world chat).
Just back into it after being gone since WotLK and like a junkie have relapsed hard.
The questing for Cataclysm was the best of the 3 newer xpacs - I loved how each zone was related to one of the five elements. Pandaria questing was decent overall, with Jade Forest, Four Winds, and Krasarang amazing, and the last 3 zones pretty shit. Draenor is nice (first character was a Draenai back in BC so it's full circle) and the retconned lore was much easier to follow and fall into, but I still prefer Outland. Garrison acquisition is rad, but seems very shallow with little to no customization (vs my humble home in FFXIV).
Not really psyched about Legion. Zones look underwhelming and I'm not paying to swap my main's class.

The lore of Outland hasn't been retconned, we're just going into an alternate dimension Draenor. Our universe's version of Draenor is still there and the events of BC and WC2 still happened there.

Couldn't agree more about the questing. It seems the leveling experience is the only thing Blizzard have been able to imrove on with each successive expansion. Cata could actually have been a decent xpac if they hadn't nerfed dungeons, and did Dragon Soul differently.

Also I'd recommend going on Kronos 2. It's a completely fresh server, so everyone's pretty much on the same playing field at the moment. Plenty of people to hang out and level with as you play. Super cool environment.

Well that's nowhere near as bad. Definitely seems like if it doesn't end in legion it's gonna be a scenario where they come back and we have to go into the twisting nether to finally end it. I really hope it just happens in legion. I've had enough with demon stuff.
Pandaria was a great example of them going off the beaten path and incorporating classic themes(horde vs ally with old god/sha twists) into a brand new environment.

Totally. I'd love to see more Old God related stuff, and from what I've seen in Chronicle, they seem to be retconning some Titan lore as well for a reason. Really hope we see more of that kind of stuff in the future. I know that Tyr and the other Keepers will play some sort of role in Legion

I played for the first time prior to the release of the pandas. Two of my friends finally convinced me to make an account and play with them, which turned into "Oh, get to 60 first and then we can quest" and then later "Oh well we didn't renew our subscription." So I gave up.
The setting was more interesting than I thought it would be but since I knew nothing about the lore or previous games pretty much everything flew over my head and past the first 20 levels everything quest related seemed to be disjointed since I was expected to just warp from dungeon to dungeon while watching my mats sell in the main town. As silly as it might sound, seeing the sheer amount of content in the game just made me wistful that I hadn't played it from the start.

I recently started back up, but only because my roomate wants me to play with her.
(She also only likes to PvP, which I dont like, so it's getting really old fast. Only reason I'm ok with it, is to upgrade my BoA from the x3 honor atm.)
Side note, as much as i like features in vanilla/TBC, and WotLK, I would never play vanilla servers.

Why did they drop this glorious leveling aspect. WoW had it and dropped it. SWTOR had it and dropped it. I had both and dropped both.
I remember spending hours researching what node to take or boost on my first character. Now it's 3 options every 15 levels, and two of them are for specs you're not in. Fuck this gay earth and the dumbing down of games.
