The way I see it is that you have to play the game in the sense that the game took years to make and alot of thought was put in to it. So to just blow over it really fast is pointless. Especially when people feel they have to play through a game in order to play the latest entry and end up treatig trilogies as a single game instead of 3 games that each took years and work from alot of different people to create just for you to brush over like each one is just a chapter

Did it when I was younger. I've played Sonic 1-3 like a million times and have 100+ hours of just fucking around in the overworld of OoT and Majora's Mask. Still do it but less than before, usually let game sit for a years or months before I come back to them.
