The sad part is Kushala is a GREAT fight once you're decked out with windres or decent poison weapons. It is genuinely one of the most enjoyable elder dragon fights for me. I like Metal Gear Solid and Morrowind because I like really weird and obtuse lore that I can spend hours delving into and pondering. I also enjoyed the scope of Morrowind's factions and it's leveling system, and Metal Gear Solid has a lot of cool characters and it's writing reminds me of Die Hard.

Level design is kind of fucked in hm2
It is beatable though but it is a game that rewards quick and almost improvised run. I couldn't do that most the time I had to learn the flow and build a plan of approach. Later levels required a lot of baiting on my part to get guys with guns to close the distance when I had no means of taking them out from a distance.
Wouldn't be so bad if you could take a few hits or the aim of ai wasn't so accurate all the time.

The level design encourages baiting too much. Hard mode levels are often the same fucking thing with more windows added everywhere with no concern for how that will affect the flow of the level. They add difficulty, sure, but this can't come at the expense of ruining the flow because that's the most important thing in this fucking game.
Many of the best routes I practiced to get my leaderboarding runs relied on RNG, as they required getting yourself out in the open more than is comfortable and just crossing your fingers and hoping that the random spread on enemy weapons rolled in your favor. I liked the part about figuring out the best route and mastering it, I sure as fuck didn't like the part where random spread on weapons kept fucking up attempts.
HM1 never suffered from those problems to the same extent.
