what;s up with all these persona threads lately?
persona 5 hype or?n-not that i complain
Jesus as an antagonist seems like a neat idea.
Though, knowing the writing in games like this, this probably isn't a good example of that happening.

But Messiah is Jesus. Takaya is more like the anti-christ. He looks like Jesus, but you know. He isn't.
According to the artbook he's actually supposed to be a new-age cult leader type.So like Jesus.

Jesus is a brown skin Jew. Don't let the dirty white washing of the white devils fool you.

If you wanna live in Japan you gotta have a Japanese name.
At least that's the way they used to do it. The first and only black samurai in Japan was a freed the current emperor bought off a European guy who was given a Japanese name.
He didn't believe he was black at first and had his servants try and scrub the black off his skin. He was amazed that it was his real skin and not soot.

It's pop culture Jesus, not historical accurate Jesus.
Blame Europeans for white Jesus. In China he was portrayed in art as Chinese.

even if the story were 100% true it would still be written that way due to transliteration constraints. we're talking about a name that, ostensibly, has only been preserved through 2000 years of Japanese history, whereas Christ already has a name in English.
so for the English translation, they can just use the English word for Christ, but there isn't necessarily an English name for Isukiri.
does that make sense?
