What are some good Civ-like games to play while I wait for the new Civilization VI?
The one you posted. Dem +70 player games.

Why do you think its a roman legion? The shield is suggesting west, but the long spear blade screams east.

that's a phalanx

How do you even get 70 people to sit down at the same time and play?

Bottom looks less like a mobile game but still nothing like Civ.

You don't. The server's running 24/7, rounds cycle every 24 hours.

So its one turn a day? Jesus that sounds horrible.

nice civ vi screenshot, where'd you find it

Longturn games are great! Usually tons of political intrigue going on in the background, large alliances and carefully planned invasions.

The new civ LOOKS LIKE FUCKING SHIT, LITERALLY LIKE A FUCKING FREEMIUM MOBILE GAME.
I bet you will have the option to pay 3$ to speed up production.

>70 player games
How is that even possible? 30 civs causes IV to melt (lol@Gamebryo), while 48 is the hard limit of V.

I don't know, but I think the maximum for FreeCiv is 128. At least it was when I played it. The map was so big there was a third, completely devoid of players, continent that I found a few turns before Apollo Program gave us the complete map.

End yourself.

I remember playing it once with a map so big that the AI couldn't think of expanding and building giant empires. The AI of it overall wasn't impressive.

Man, if FreeCiv's UI wasn't absolutely terrible, I'd be interested in playing one of these games.
