Original Carl Barks are pretty good too. But Don Rosa has more consistent plot and an eye for detail in each panel.

Man... what a rush of nostalgia.. these are the best comics ever.
Fuck marvel, dc and twd... this is art..

Just another day I bought some old pocket size 200-300 page duck avenger and similar comics.

around 900 pages in three books of pure joy.
>>
>>337794937
That was the shit.

Also loved the edgy teenager version, with purple duck aliens who enslaved people with blue flames.
>>
Man, I wish they'd make a Duck cinematic universe, but there'd be no way that it would be of the same quality as the comics

Every once in a while the publisher spotted and removed it from the comics. Not this one though, look at the pointers above the dials on the vault door.

Magica is an idiot.
>>
>>337796232
I always went to the library and got as many Ducks, Lucky Luke and Asterix & Obelix comics as I was allowed.

They had like a ton of Carl Barks collections and at the bottom of the cover it had like a golden seal with Carl Bark written on it. For the longest time I thought Carl Barks was the publisher and I was always checking for that seal.

He's godly, but I still prefer Don Rosa.

>When a victim is under its spell, once he hears his name spoken, his memory will be wiped clean of the knowledge related to the next word he hears!
If Magica had only told them her own name and the word dime, Scrooge and Donald would forget about those things and wouldn't chase after her.

I can't believe you're that retarded that I need to explain that. It's as if you didn't read the fucking comic.
>>
>>337797823
I think he was referring to the fact that they DID end up forgetting her name and it still didn't stop them. You have a point with the dime though.
>>
>>337798017
Because only Scrooge forgot her and not Donald.

>he's even better than Carl Barks
Depends on how you look at it. Don Rosa spins great adventures and has great attention for detail, but from an artistic point of view he's kind of a black sheep. His habit of scribbling painstaking details into every panel is generally frowned upon among Disney artist for being unnecessary and distracting, and his art is quite rigid and often awkwardly posed, with lots of ineffective lines of action. The ideal Disney duck artist would produce art that could easily double as animation frames or a storyboard. This is why Carl Barks is considered the duck master; having previously worked as a Disney animator, his drawing style is very fluid, active and engaging with little need for small detail.

I do prefer Don Rosa, though. There's just so much pure character in his work. I consider him to be the one who finally defined and solidified the characters and the setting Barks created. It's just too bad his take on the ducks and Duckburg gets buried among all the reimaginations and reboots.

>>337797087
It was basically deemed to be un-Disney, "unclean" and too reminiscient of the way underground artists would mark or dedicate their works. It doesn't make much sense, but Disney tends to be extremely strict on, well, anything that's Disney. Being a dedication to Carl Barks, whom Don Rosa absolutely admires, he didn't give up and started hiding the dedication into the art itself in the hopes that it wouldn't get spotted.
