Actually I am enjoying how there is a little more downtime to explore and take in the sights. I enjoy gun fights as the next guy, but I really enjoy the downtime to check out every nook and cranny of the area, especially with the large areas where you have a vehicle.

I didn't mind the pace of the game (at least once you reached Scotland), but I wish there'd been more fights because they were much higher quality this time, instead of waves of guys coming at you they were large open areas with heaps of oppurtinity to climb/stealth and swing around.
The first fight in the jungle (the one from the Pax demo a few years ago) was VERY well designed, and offered an insane amount of ways through it. There's dozens of places to engage in direct combat, oppurtinity to stealth (and re-enter stealth if you get seen) or even sneak through without killing anyone.
It's a shame that no critics talk about the gameplay because story is all that matters and /v/ shitposts about there being no gameplay, because there are some incredibly well designed shooter sections here and the amount of traversal options makes it very fast paced and let's you pull off crazy shit if you are good enough.

I kinda liked that she had this history with Sully and Nathan. And I felt that she was fairly intimidating, at least at the beginning of the game.
But I'll be the first to admit I don't remember Uncharted 3 all that well, even though I just played it in January.
Rafe might be better but my initial thoughts on him are that he wasn't really intimidating or imposing, just weasely and kind of a cunt. I didn't think that his characterization was as cemented as the other characters.

There was rumours of a sci-fi game being made by Naughty Dog, but it's nothing substantial.
Personally I want a new IP, TLoU would only be tarnished by a sequel and Jak would probably not work out too well.
Sci-fi enviroments with Uncharted 4's engine would be great, and it would be even better if it was non-linear, imagine something structurally similar to Dark Souls (in terms of how the world is put together) but with Uncharteds graphics and traversal.
Add in some more traversal mechanics, like jet boots to extend jumps/dash or something (rope and spike are both great and should stay). Make more interesting weapons and enemy types (something Uncharted sorely lacked) as well as some Vechile sections and make a 3rd person shooter/platformer Metroidvania style progression game with a fairly generic story but with well written characters (seriously, people who think Uncharted is some kind of literary masterpiece need to go back and examine what actually happens in the games and not be distracted by 11/10 banter).
Voila, instant classic that "fixes" all the issues people had with Uncharted and TLoU.

It was a downright chore in some parts of UC2 and 3.
Exploration has always been more fun., They amped that up quite well in UC4, with much larger areas and multiple pathways.
