That shit was my childhood and while it's not perfect, the footage I've seen suggests it's on a good path. They just need to cultivate it with future expansion packs/releases. And maybe make a decent MP while they're at it.

I bought it and refunded it after about an hour and a half of playing. It felt like I was playing a "Duty Calls" style parody of DOOM. Ripping and tearing isn't as fun when you have to do it constantly to survive.

You can buy a global key for almost half the price Steam asks... Anyway the solo is really pleasant to play. I recommend it. I didn't like the Wolfenstein reboots btw, so except for the engine looking familiar the gameplay is nothing like those.

They really dropped the ball on this one.
Instead of trying to at least offer pirates an olive branch with a demo of the first 30 minutes of the game or something, they decided to cut them out completely by forcing a Denuvo on us.
It will come to bite them in the ass more so than not as the reason for a lot of people pirating is insecurity about the gameplay.
Now they either don't plan on buying it until it's on sale, or just waiting until a crack eventually does happen because both are inevitable.
