Except making the bosses harder is just second nature when you already beat them once.
Original games only limited your heath recovery when fighting bosses again, if we wanted to evolve from that then making the bosses harder but also giving you complete health sounds more appealing, at least personally. Removing the boss rush just seems....out of place. They didn't even replace them with another new boss fight or anything.

I game like $20, just enough to get the game on a platform of my choice. I support Mega Man, and that was a time when Capcom tried to kill the character. Not my fault MN9 turned out to be serviceable, but not great.

The cartoon and other non-game shit is the only thing that made me angry. That's an outright misuse of funds. And Red Ash won't fool me, not this time.

And then it just became hoarding, but also sharing what i had because I don't like to hoard builds. Though if Battlefront 3 taught me anything, it's that you should always be sure you don't piss off people.

I've also learned that the 360 has most of the "interesting" builds, while the PS3 gets virtually nothing and this is quite upsetting as I really don't like the 360.

The health bars are a little varied in that you will need to damage some more than others.

The stages are really, really fucking hard in the late game. Robot Factory has a segment of spikes that require 3-4 dashes and very accurate dropping. That recording is the ONLY recording I have where I flawlessly passed that segment. All other recordings have 5-7 deaths.

That boss looks like garbage. You shoot your fun pellets to get him into "Now you can hurt him mode" then literally just wasting time until he dashes at you so you can take 20% off of his life. If you dash while he isn't boosting then you take a hit coming out of the dash, and if he doesn't dash when in hurt mode then you have to shoot him again to get him vulnerable again and hope he dashes this time.

God damn its like they didn't even think about what making a dash into a mandatory finisher would need in terms of enemy placement and attack patterns.

I agree, I love the boss rush bit, but consider it like this: The game is already blasted for being a copy-paste of Mega Man, and here people are complaining it isn't enough like Mega Man. That's really just me playing devil's advocate though. I would never call removing a bunch of cool fights "evolution" like the guy who started this argument, but I can't help but think this game would have been far better off if it was more its own thing. The dash-kill mechanic is... neat, but a bit awkward. The bosses are a little too repetitive in their movesets for the modern day, if nothing else because the game is trying to cram so much story and dialogue onto the screen, you figure they might have some shit to mix it up when their health gets low or something.

The only outright flaws I can stamp on the game are the wonky fucking visuals, the overabundance of talking (including those noises for jumping AND LANDING! WHY?), and of course we didn't get Call E.

Blasted by who? People threw money at this game to get a new Megaman.

The dash-kill doesn't work in the claustrophobic levels of a Megaman-esque game. It requires the developers to be particularly mindful of other things like how it will interact with enemies. Megaman boss fights are more slugfests while MN9's seem more like a Zelda style "Do something to get the boss in a weakened mode, do set amount of damage, then repeat" it works for a slower more puzzle based game but not the higher speed action orientated Megaman style game it wants to be.

That's not even getting into stuff that personally infuriates me like the ledge grab instead of just reusing the X wall-kick.

Actually I threw money at it because I was disillusioned by the idea that this would be a middle finger to Capcom, I don't even like Megaman, and my only interest in MML3 was Tron.
