The weird thing is that /v/ seems to like DVA and Mei a lot and I hated playing those two. Even on a pure waifufaggotry level I found DVA annoying and Mei failed to have any impact on me whatsoever.

Mccree's backstory is interesting, it reminds me a lot of Red Dead Redemption though. A cowboy outlaw trying to uphold justice for his misdeeds in the past. Still, characters like that can be pretty damn cool.
I haven't used him a lot but is the flash bang useful? I've never been hit by it so I don't know what it actually does. I know it's supposed to daze you or something but what does that mean? his heals are awful when making pushes though, and his debuff is the ONLY skill that I see is useful, but it can only be on 1 hero and he himself usually can't capitalize on it without getting destroyed. plus, his ult is functionally really similar to lucio's, but he can't do anything during it, letting the opponent knock him away.

Of course his heals are awful; hes not supposed to replace Mercy or even Lucio.
The debuff is for his team totake out high priority targets, not for him to be a one man army. He was actually just that in the beta so they nerfed him.
His ult makes him immine to damage so he can keep his discord active whereas Lucio can still die from focus fire.
