By running to the boss' fog gate and waiting. Once you get invaded, you go into the fog gate then select Options -> Quit.
Or summon other two players (three in DaS3). This one is risky because some invaders are skilled enough to wreck entire parties.

Pretty sure DS3 prioritizes sending invaders to hosts with helpers. I've never been invaded with ember when I'm alone. And in the 100+ invasions I've done, host has always had at least one helper, usually two, and sometimes three.
The key to invasions is patience. Wait until someone in the pack strays away from the group. Hit and run tactics. If you wait long enough, usually another dark spirit will join you.
But if host uses giant seed then you're fucked basically.

I wouldn't summon for champion gundyr, nameless king, or soul of cinder though.

This is where Watch_Dogs did this sort of interaction right. Another player can enter your game and you wouldn't know until it's to late and they're they've already tagged you after they tail you until you reach a spot they like starting the match.
Dark Souls would be a lot more interesting if the game didn't announce you were invaded and you only get it if the enemy sets off a trap, gets attacked by an enemy, you see them or they attack you.
