Splatoon.
Every time I play that game I actually need to go take a walk or else I will break something and I will regret it.
It's just every single game plays out almost the same. My teammates are consistently shit and because of it. I'm the only one defending or pushing at all and get decimated because it's essentially one against four, two if I'm lucky. Meanwhile the opponents are like clockwork and somehow manage to properly function and have actual teamwork.

and yet I play it like every day. Think hunger games, but on floating islands in the sky. It was a high skill ceiling and the fact that you can 'change' the terrain and use it to your advantage makes it insanely rewarding to use clever tactics.

Knight Artorius on DS1 like 20 mins ago. I made it to Gwyn but didn't want to fight him until I'd beaten the dlc. I've been throwing myself at Knight Artorius for a week and barely scratch his health, but I parry Gwyn into oblivion without getting hit on my third try. Why is Artorius so fucking hard?

As a fa/tg/uy, board games and MTG make me far saltier than any video games ever have.
That said, Sword of the Stars, having all the systems near me with containing swarm/monitor, or being impossible to settle. That and rolling shit for terraforming techs on the random tech tree.

I've played CS since 1.6. Friends and I still play GO now, we started with internet cafe lan weekends and the like.
I have a friend, nicest guy on the planet, incredibly generous and kind hearted, who gets absolutely fucking buttblasted constantly at it, still. Past the point of yelling and "what the fuck?"s into incoherent rage noises and passive aggressive comments at the rest of our group.

TF2 in pubs. When you just want to play a simple round of TF2 and every single server has one heavily stacked team with hackers and the other team is nothing but South Americans and children, and you get vote-kicked for telling the four engineers to not build their sentries next to each other.

I only get salty when a game doesn't work right. Like with Bloodborne I can die literally 5 or 6 times to the same boss and be fine but if something stupid happens like the character gets stuck in something and can't get out then I will get mad.
Similarly, nothing pisses me off more than buying a PC game and the damn thing doesn't work when I try to play for the first time.

I hear Ark Survival Evolved is similar? Except you can be dragged into someone else's base and locked into a cage. Force fed to be kept alive so you can't kill yourself and respawn.
Why such a mechanic exists, I have no idea. It does sound like you're basically fucked if that happens to you. I don't know much about the game but it sounds like your only option is to delete your character.
Monster Hunter. There's no particular hunt or monster that stands out to me, it's just a game with an extremely high potential to make me salty. I know the game's mostly fair and everything's avoidable but I swear to god no other games series has ever had me shout

Any multiplayer game really. Most of the time when I die I tell myself how lucky they got or how shit the connection is, I literally try to make a excuse for everything to convince myself I am the better player. I won't break anything or be visible upset but I'm still annoyed

zweihander I think is the only weapon in the game that can reliably break his buff from finishing,
you can either tank him or dodge. I dodged, while my brother easily tanked with heavy armor and artorias's hilariously amazing greatshield, either way, stopping him from using that buff is your priority, once you can reliably stop the buff, it will make him more manageable. if he does buff, try to wear it out. that damn jumping attack is always a 1 shot death once its buffed

I miss when games kicked my ass but nowadays AAA devs just throw these games for casuals that are so easy and you barely interact with anything. Developers know what sells nowadays so there isn't much "experimentation" going on as there was in the N64 to PS2 era
I remember when i played vidya because to escape from the shithole real life became to me, i liked it more when it was seen as just a hobby and some people would look at you weird for doing it
