This. Anyone who hates Liberty Island is a fucking retard, it was a fantastic first level, and as you say was a solid encapsulation of the game. There were mysteries, lots of secrets and nooks and crannies to explore, even with the goal literally looking down at you the whole time you could reach it in a pile of different creative ways using all sorts of abilities and approaches. You could go full soldier, or completely non-lethal, or hybrid, make use of different skills/augs, etc. As a way to learn the game and get a feel for the sandbox+goal style it was just right. When DX first came out before I got the game itself I must have replayed LI in the demo a dozen times trying out different stuff.
