Ranger is still shit, Hawkeye is real good, both as main and sub. Support skills are really good for physical hitters and Class Skills let your physical attackers deal with almost any situation by piercing defense, dealing elemental damage, you name it.Unfortunately, it looks kinda dumb but what can you do.

Both are really good and both got large buffs.
Summons do loads more damage now and spell craft makes them insane. With weaknesses and some summoning skills, they do the most magic damage in the game. Plus they added more summons for debuffs and healing, and they can use invocations now.
Swordmaster now maxes out aggro when countering and is great for adding to tanks or just using normally.

oh, if you're talking about the buffs, that's not what I was referring to. Yes, astrologian is best for buffs, I was talking about how crazy the damage gets for Summoner with spellcraft. And, with Good Measure, you can use Summon+Summon and Mist craft to a shit ton of damage per turn. Your MP goes down the drain though but Steady MP Recover and Undo MP can help you with that.

Ranger + Red Mage is the best combo for grinding levels like crazy, if you just know the location to make best use of the situation. Just go to the crit room of the steam caverns (before Chapter 5), get BP recovery talent and then just use berserk and then just sit back and chain your battles as much as you want.
As an actual functional class outside grinding, though, it's pretty shit.

Once you get past around Chapter 5 and you revisit Grapp Keep, you really don't need any other grinding for anything.
All the enemies there are undead, and they die instantly with revive magic, so just give everyone either white/holy magic or Halfsies and kill everyone in one turn. In three fights, you get 999 JP.
Also, fuck SQ with that limit, grinding JP would've been much faster if I could just go for 3.0x bonus in that place.

the green adventurer gets explained at the end of SecondThe adventurer is a girl named Deneb who is one of the people that escaped to Luxendaarc with Altair. After destroying compass in a previous timeline she gets space travel powers. Without a soul to keep him alive Tiz dies again at the end of BS so she takes the hourglass and goes back in time. She somehow turns green for some reason when going back in time. Anyways, she gives Tiz the SP hourglass, which is the scene where you get it in Default, Now The hourglass stores his memories over the course of Default and Second and they can use it so he doesn't die again at the end of BS and regains a soul of his own
Now I'm kind of hyped for Bravely Second. I should finish BD soon enough.
