These. Honestly though, I think that's why everyone loved them. In both cases the devs and some of the fans couldn't recognize that and they focused too much on "Muh serious games stories."
I feel like people changed their opinion on the DMC and MGS series because they were told that's what they were supposed to think and the idea of that scares me shitless. Like NO ONE was asking for DMC or MGS to be "more serious" until the devs told them that it needed to be more serious.
