400 hours in, i can only recommend this game to people who have either a serious RO nostalgia hard-on, love korean grind MMOs or have a chill group of niggas to play with.
trade, social and gameplay issues make a potentially decent game into something that's almost irredeemable.

Nice art, fun killing things but honestly...it's lacking that what ragnarok has which is a "personality". Everything in ToS is "ok", but nothing jumps out. So to me it's just another grindfest mmo with ragnarok graphics. Stopped playing it.

"full tank" is a meme. expect to bonfire after every few dungeon pulls if you don't have a healer, regardless of muh tank, because you have no mitigation against magic.
pelt 1/2 are good for most purposes, you just need to swash buckle and sit there to group up the mobs.

But it seems very little like Ragnarok other than the art style and being an isometric MMO.
Even the player characters aren't fully 2D. Just the head is. The rest is 3D models.

I really wouldn't recommend getting invested in it.
It's pretty buggy, one area was inaccessible to me since whenever I got on this elevator I'd clip through it and fall down back to where I started.
FPS is pretty shit, I've heard people who have better rigs than me have had issues as well.
Lack of trade feature, was partying with a friend and he couldn't give me a weapon fit for my character.
It's incredibly linear. It's literally a straight line. Very boring imo
So far I've found the music pretty sub par, I thought it would be a saving grace but I don't think it is.

squire shops are desirable at higher levels, as they generally become cheaper than NPC vendors, plus a chance for additional repairs, so you can make some shekels there. other than that, you're basically a support/tank bitch for your parties.

Hoplite just utilizes shield and brings dps. If you're dead fucking set on emulating your hero "The wall" then sword>pelt>pelt2>rode>rode>templar might be more useful.
Squire is the crafter class for swordsman so yeah it's useful.
