Yeah I don't think Bamco is going to rush this. The fighting game market is pretty competitive at this moment anyways. They will want to release in dry season when the arcade versions aren't as popular. Last I checked T7 is quite the hit at the arcades so Bamco is no rush.

I 100% agree with OPs statement. It pisses me off that /v/ acts so god damn "hardcore" when they brag about beating literal braindead NPCs in Dark Souls, but they can't play fighting games at all.
Fighting games are the honest to god most competitive hardcore games and they can't even fucking play them. It isn't hard to get to a decent level and it's the most rewarding type of game. But of course since /v/ is casual they will bitch and call Street Fighter V tortanic 2 because it doesn't have any singleplayer content to appeal to their casualness.

It's pretty much arcade contracts holding the game back on consoles. The game is pretty much done. They only need to add some SP content, CG cutscenes and ship it. But they're making too much on arcade to release it now.

It is no where near done, They still need to add the new intro animations, Costumes, Characters, Stages, Replace Rage Arts like they did with Devil Jin. Work on Akuma some more.
They are also doing a lot more SP content than tag 2 or 6. There is a lot to do.
i would play more fighting games if its netcode didnt rape the experience so hard. fighting games have to be played almost exclusively locally or else you are playing a completely different game.

I hope it's not more useless beat 'em up modes. The one in T6 was really bad. Just focus on making good SP AI and make content after that. Tekken Force was fun but that was way back in '98.
