If you have at least the space on your desktop for the keyboard and a monitor, you could just stick the SFF rig behind the monitor, something like that.
Get a Kensington cable lock or something, be creative. The only one that should know about the existence of your rig is your roommate in college.
I got a laptop just so I'd have something to play Vidya whenever I might travel. Now my pc is broken and my laptop is all I have. I'm too poor to get a new pc. ;_;
