Ultra-Nightmare is an extra difficulty mode, in which if you die, you lose the entire save file and have to start over from square one.

I made a commitment to do this.
Using an article which puts launch options in to skip the cutscenes (which for some retarded reason unlocks Ultra Nightmare), I thought I'd give it a go.
I died 4 times originally, went back and did 1/4 of the game on Easy, then went back to Ultra Nightmare and did the attempt with cheese tactics like KillProcess and such.
>Basically, whenever the game shuts down unexpectedly, your progress is saved. Using a macro to autokill the game whenever I was at 5% health or less, I managed to cheese to the end.
