If you want a video game that has good gameplay, it's not for you, just go and watch it on youtube then.
But it has a really strong story, great characters, great visual design, decent worldbuilding, and some of the best and most well animated fight choreography you will ever see inside those QTE's.
It also has an absolutely insane sense of scale and incredulous over-the-topness to it that's really only matched by like TTGL. The game starts off with you jumping off of a space ship in a massive fleet battle, and has you pluttming to earth blowing shit up with your bare hands and punching a monster the size of a continent. The first boss is the size of a planet. The final boss throws stars at you and fights you inside a black hole.
So if that sounds appealing to you or you like dumb over the top action anime that doesn't take itself seriously, you should really at least watch it on youtube or buy it used for like 5$, though the main DLC is pretty much essential.
It's not much of a game, but for what it is trying to be (a sort of interactive anime, it even has mid mission bumpers and next episode on previews), it's a 10/10.

Let me rephrase what I said.
It looks stunning, and the actions scenes are always sick to watch.
However, I don't see how people find this an enjoyable game. All the pros you listed mentioned everything but gameplay. Call me weird, but when I play a game the most important thing is gameplay, everything else is a bonus.
I just can't see myself sitting down and playing this. I've never been a huge fan of QTE's, though, so thats just me.

I really enjoyed playing it, more than I think I would have just watching it. if you're gonna make a game that's just a string of QTEs, this is how you do it. They feel kinesthetic as fuck, and make sense in relation to the actual beat-em-up sections, no retarded "press F to grieve" shit.
in also has some fun with it. Early on in the game, you spread the sticks to sprout more arms. Late game, it prompts you with this.Guess what happens next.
Then, the final boss has his own QTEs, and as you beat his ass, he starts getting sloppy and misses them. It's great.
