ITT: Games so good you replay them every year.
>>337621146
I play and beat OoT atleast bi-annually since the launch. It never gets old and it hold up perfectly.
I miss old Valve
I'd been meaning to replay San Andreas but goddamn those early missions are a slog
>>337621146
This a lewd game? Should I give it shot? I've played a few ATLUS rpg before.
>>337622139
CONTACT
I play a STALKER game every year
>>337622139
>>337622274
HE'S TOO FAST
>>337622248
Depends on your definition of lewd.
It's not an eroge if that's what you're asking
>>337622248
very lewd, I'm surprised it's on ps3/360
>>337621146
>>337622139
>>337622298
>>337622248
It's really not a lewd game. It's also not an RPG. It's a puzzle platformer game with a fantastic story. I'm not gonna give you the full know on the story but there's multiple endings based on choices you make.
The puzzle aspect is fun and addicting as fuck and the story is so intense that it'll keep you playing. One of my favorite games ever.
>>337622248
It's a puzzle game with a very mature story based on adult dilemmas and relationships. If you just want to nut it's not what you're looking for.
>>337622248
pretty lewd, but it's not an rpg though
>>337621146
i wish this was on pc
>>337621146
Life
I love it so much
>>337621146
It never gets old.
>>337621146
Dreamweb was amazing. Shame it doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
>>337621146
I keep wanting to replay Catherine.
For about a year when OoT came out (I was a poorfag) it was my only good game. I would replay it every month, timing the final dungeon on the day my dad would cave in and order pizza.
Now as an adult with the backlog the size of Canada and the moon, I have too many games to beat. Haven't even finished the mm or OoT remakes. Being a massive kojima fag (even loved mgs 5 a lot) I get massive urges to replay zoe2 and mgs3 all the time.
>>337621146
>>337622139
Nice, I appreciate your tastes.
>>337623209
You can save yourself the OoT remake (unless you have no other way of playing Master Quest), but make time for MM3D.
I replay a random pokemon game every now and then, doing white2 atm
>>337623770
Master Quest A SHIT
I played the version you got with Wind Waker Limited Edition, and hated it.
Currently I'm giving the 3DS version a shot, and I'm still hating it. They somehow made the Water Temple even more awful to play through.
>>337625262
My one gripe with OoT is that it's a little basic from a modern standpoint since it had to introduce 3D gameplay. MQ remedies that with really creative dungeon design. The water temple is made BETTER by removing most enemies and making large parts of it optional. What are you smoking?
>>337625396
Yeah making each dungeon an illogical shitpile with no sense of structure sure is creative.
Master Quest is fanmod tier.
>>337621146
I get super autistic about this, not only do I play them ever year, I also play them in a particular month of that year.
I always play Morrowind at the end of August.
Deus Ex around Christmas.
The Witcher trilogy since last year in May.
Also Red Dead Redemption in May.
The Metal Gear games in January.
GTA San Andreas in October.
I have no idea why I completed it over 6 times now. I don't even like Sonic that much.
>>337622813
>last boss has 1 hp left
>I die.
I never went back and finished.
>Polyushko Polye intensifies
Doom, Ico, Demon's Souls, Portal 1, The entire MGS series up to 3 (4 if I'm feeling it)(Portal 2 is actually the worst to replay unless it's co-op, it's total ass as you wait for jokes to role by and random moments where the game's difficulty resets itself so you can learn to paint with portals or some shit. Great game to play once but man it hasn't aged well legacy-wise)
>>337621146
Xenoblade
In the summer, New Vegas, Red Dead Redemption, and Pokemon Soul Silver.
In the Winter, the entire Mass Effect series.
>>337622654
Just to add onto this nice anon's post.
>>337623363
I'd like to replay Persona games about once a year but I get burned out because of its length and repetition. Love the series though.
Every autumn I lock myself in my room and marathon Silent Hill 1-2-3 back to back to back.
>>337629175
TIME FOR CONTROVERSY
Just replayed it last week, actually. Sat down and plowed through it one day, with all the cutscenes. It was nice.
>>337630781
Meh, it's fun as hell, only shame about the unskippable cutscenes and how much the game took you out of the momentI also dislike the writing, without Lake it doesn't feel like max payne anymore.
This, VTM:B, Doom 2 and Blood I find myself returning to constantly so it generally results in me finishing them all at least once a year.
Xenosaga every two years. I've completed it mutilple times and I still have no fucking idea what the story is about.
>>337622139
yep, every year at least. The second one was pretty good too, but not as good. The gunplay in FEAR is something so special, not a lot of games can deliver
>>337626534
It's pretty good, especially E-102's story.
I like Adventure 2 better, though.
Gotta raise those Chao.
>>337621658
basically a dead franchise by this point
thanks for unceremoniously abandoning your flagship franchise valve
>>337621146
Left4Dead 2
Deus Ex 1
>>337631854
>>337632079
It's crazy how every playthrough of Deus Ex usually gets you something you haven't seen before.
>>337623363
Literally HOW
>>337632260
autism
>>337631974
Seriously fuck valve
The Steamship has been slowly sinking for the past 4 years
The only game I do this for is Secret of Evermore
>>337622298
I've been playing it once a year in the winter since it came out in 2004
>>337632438
it's really sad watching them degenerate from creators at the vanguard of the industry to steam: the company
>>337621371
You must take a nap during the cutscenes.
Also you better 100%
And Gunstar Future Heroes too
>>337621146
still the best RPG of the PS1 era
fight me if you don't agree
although the highest level that i got in here was 70+, grinding towards 99 is so hard
It gets better every year
>>337622813
My nigga i was just getting around to playing this with amostlyonly partner run
>>337621371
Have you ever considered playing a good game instead?
I dont know what it is, I just fucking love dead space 2, i play it at least once a year and will give restrictions like plasma cutter only or something like that. I also play Suikoden 2 every year, like someone above posted
>>337633375
exxdee
>>337621763
What? The early missions were the best part, that game got stupider as it went on. Fuck those James Woods flying missions. Fuck Wu Zi Mu and his gay casino heist. Defintiely fuck Zero and his shitty RC planes.
This and 4.
Going back to DMC always feels good.
>>337633421
Fuck yes this game is great, I play it yearly too. I play in 3D on my 100" projector, fuckin insane!
>>337622654
the flesh of fallen angels!
more like every month
>>337631854
Cam to post this. Holy shit, you genuinely appreciate this game more and more each year.
It's literally perfect storytelling and atmosphere.
IT'S TRICKY TO ROCK A RHYME
First time on /v/ hello guys would rather not tell you what board I usually go too....
Beat this game once or twice a year but haven't since the final mix got an official US port now I play that.
>>337634780
>KH2
You probably frequent the Cute Male board or /d/.
>>337621658
Yes, this. Also, AoE, Diablo II, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Warcraft III.
;_;
Chrono Trigger, every year, without fail since about 1998. even the DS remake was good.
>I'm not putting my lips on that.
>>337630781
it's a canon part of my yearly max payne marathon. I'm okay with it.
Still miss 1+2 mp tho, the tone is too different, even in the flashback missions that try to emulate 1 and 2.
>>337621146
I need to replay Catherine.
>>337632260
My Roommate fully played P4G 7 times during the course of the year, and he also had school, though he mostly used it as a way to distract himself during commercial breaks during the massive amount of time he spent watching sports.
GOAT
>>337638228
I seriously don't understand how you can sit through the calendar system multiple times, I'm fucking nostalgic about P3 sometimes but whenever I sit down to replay it I just can't.
>>337634421
underated post
>>337638893
What is this videogame starring Dan Goodman?
Sometimes I just want to hit the super pipe or do a half-hour mountain run.
Also, Ace Combat 5 and Valkyria Chronicles.
