It's a single player only fps, where most of the time you shoot things.
It's one of those Half-Life 2/Doom 3 - esque games with audiologs and some stuff to read/look at in between combat.
The world itself is pretty well designed.
The shooting mechanics are not the best of course, i won't argue that, it feels underdeveloped.
It's still a great game though.

Beat it on Nightmare, it's not the same Doom from the 90s, but it's an evolution of sorts. It's not completely linear and the arena rooms are actually fun. This is in the running for my personal GOTY this year.

Steam reviews are dangerous. While they accurately review maybe like one session of playing a game maybe like one in a hundred will actually give a solid review that is useful.
The average score I consider to be a 'hype' meter- meaning if it's high then people were eager to play it and if it's low it means the is missing something or wasn't what people expected.
