Ezio was a cool protag. His first assassination was pretty jarring after playing as Altair throughout the first game, but by the time of revelations, Ezio was way more smooth and efficient than Altair.

3, 4 and Rogue at least shared a lot of characters, and 3 protagonists were all from the same line (Edward being the father of Haytham and Haytham being the father of Connor).

Why didn't they do Napoleonic Wars with Arno?

Ezio was cool as fuck becasue you got to play him when he was 17 and you got to play him when he was 50+. He went from a playboy, to a young and confused assassin, to an experienced one and finally to a mentor to other assassins.
