Not as good as the prequel but fuck you I liked it.

As far as Quantic Dreams go, I had the most fun with Heavy Rain, and laughed the hardest at Indigo Prophecy.
Beyond Two Souls was kind of that in-between, where the pacing wasn't effective enough for me to get genuinely invested in the story, but the plot wasn't over-the-top ridiculous enough for me to have a popcorn-filled laugh at it.
It's really not half as bad as it's reputation.

come on
I took Heavy Rain more seriously than this shit

You've got me there. That whole section still doesn't compare to fighting your entire apartment in Indigo Prophecy though
Easy one
Tbhonest thou, I never agrred with the "combat feels floaty" complaint until I played DaS3 and went back to finish it.
Holy fuck, what a mess. Everything is so slow and unfocused with the aiming. Bows are better though.
Other than that, the game had alot of varied and cool ideas for areas. The DLCs, especially the first one, were the highpoint.
Also the game was complete armor and weapon porn, and powerstancing was awesome.
By far the best build variety in the series.
The ending was .. Mixed. It was presented better than DaS3 really. It left an impression. DaS3's ending felt kinda standard, even the alternative ones. Honestly felt like retreading DaS1.
So while it did fuck up and stumble alot, it ultimately became memorable for me because it was trying to be different, while DaS3 was just tons of fanservice.
Also Shanalotte best Soulslut.

Thing I didn't like the most about Two Souls was the force romance with Ryan.
>You still love me?
No.
>Want to give me a second chance?
No
>Hey who do you want to end up with for an ending?
Not with Ryan.

As forced as the dynamic with him was, at least they ultimately give you the option to tell him to get lost.Indigo Prophecy took pride in its obligatory necrophilia.

I feel very similarly about Heavy Rain. I think it's the perfect example of so bad it's good. It shouldn't work in any sense at all, but it's so absurd that it's fucking hilarious.

I think at the very least if it had the indigo prophecy button prompts it would've made the whole experience 2X better.
The physics in this game were, for the most part tactile and real. Everything that truly infuriated me about Survival Horror games was done away with by this.
There is not one door in the game you need to find a key for in order to open. You can pick up a fireaxe and chop down a door, or shoot the door's lock, or light it on fire and walk through when it break into embers, or for ones that are reinforced: blow the lock out, or ram them with a car.
Yeah driving was ass in the earthquake sequences. But I cannot believe the problem everyone raises after that is "There's so many of these Roots, and the game world is so large.".
