The actual gameplay is pretty janky, but it has a top-notch atmosphere. Plus it's probably the most accurate depiction of Lovecraft's kind of cosmic horror (next to Eternal Darkness). Worth a shot if you've got the patience.

I like AT for its creative setting, it's dosed exposition and the how it's both absurd and melancholic at times. Steven Universe is a bit more consistent in the way it moves its narrative but I just don't find the setting and characters as appealing. But the backgrounds are just plain gorgeous.

Well, as someone who loves VTMB as my favourite game of all time, I have to say you're missing out on a LOT if you are an RPG fan. The recognition it STILL gets today is testament to that, and the appreciation it gets from /v/ periodically is definitely justified. I agree that the first third of the game is hot garbage, but after that everything is fucking solid. Basically once you're done with the first set of quests in Neverwinter itself, the game goes from being shit to being great.
