Overwatch stole its audience pretty fucking hard.
Basically those who wanted shootan with whacky characters stuck with Overwatch and those that wanted a MOBA stuck with fucking LoL.
Battleborn didn't do either of those 2 things well, just blended them together in a bland mix sprinked with terrible humor.

Some people haven't ever played a low pop game I guess, I remember my days of playing savage well and we had a sub 1k population. It was one of the games I truely enjoyed but it wasn't the largest by far.
