His problem isn't that he's overpowered, its that he's designed like shit. He's exceedingly difficult for new players to handle, yet trash vs better players. A new player can pick him up and rape with little skill involved, yet on the other hand when that player gets more skill, he will likely stop playing Bastion because his higher skill is better used on another character due to even a toddler being able to hit the skill cap on Bastion. Its a fucked up version of how it should be, where low skill = low effectiveness and having higher skill promises higher effectiveness.
His only purpose is seemingly to be to draw in the worst of the worst players and make them feel like they aren't bad and are contributing something. Yeah yeah the game itself is made for that, but he takes it to the next level.
