I don't know what to think at this point. I want to believe that Nintendo have gotten over the bullshit that has been the past decade and are willing to actually make something without handholding again, but I have no reason to believe the people creating this intuitively value the freedom to allow the player to be fucked up by the game.
I sincerely doubt this will be very impressive. At most it will just be a large, open-world with traditional dungeons. There's nothing massively innovative they can do.

This is pretty much where I'm at. An open world game where you can just wander around and stumble upon entire dungeons sounds pretty dang cool but I get the feeling anything important is going to be clearly pointed out to you, and all of the optional stuff will be piddly and uninteresting anyway.
