I want to play Persona 4 but using my PS2 is not an option. What should I do? Buy the Vita version and ask a friend for his Vita? Which way to emulate it better?
Also, how long will it take to play it? I'm not a completist guy.

Do you have a Walmart around? They have the bundle with a controller and memory card on clearance for about 30 dollars, no point spending more money on a vita if you don't want one.

You can emulate the vanilla version with a PS2 emulator, that also comes with the bonus of letting you use an undub if you're into that (P4 dub is actually better in some aspects though)
You can get a Vita TV for like 30 bucks but then you're buying a Vita TV. Don't.
You could just bite the bullet and get a Vita, used maybe. You can get P4G around 20 bucks used.
It's easily 60-70 hours long, it's huge. Play Golden if you have the opportunity, it's the definitive version, just play on Hard mode.
Emulation has frame rate uncapping so it doesn't take all of your life to complete the game.

Persona 4 is fine, all the Vita does is add a metric shit ton of VN content and makes the game easier (not like anyone would pick up Persona for the gameplay)
The OG game can is 40-60 hours but the Vita version easily adds 15-20 hours, personally I think they bloated the game with the vita stuff but thats just me

Golden also adds two new Social Links (with new personas), an extra playable month and rebalances some characters (Kanji and Naoto don't suck anymore, Chie is focused on critical hits, Yukiko is even more godlike, etc.)
I'd say the game is harder on hard mode than vanilla because your party members don't lose their weaknesses like they do in vanilla

It's basically a long ass VN with tacked on rpg mechanics that only show up 20 hours in of 80 hour experience.
But it emulates well enough.
