I also only play on single player.
It's grating. Every enemy can and will be killed by holding Fire while either circle strafing or backpedaling, the double shotgun is literally the only gun you need to use outside the Tommy gun for plinking, and the "secrets" just spawn more enemies right on your head. Level design is decent at least.

Rocket launcher and tommygun are your friends. Fire a rocket if you see a group of them, otherwise stay on the move and use the tommygun. Don't use the minigun, it'll be a waste of ammo.If you can't do that, just rocket jump to the sides of the arena, it takes a bit of practice but makes the fight trivial.

Just sit in the corner, take out Tommyfun, hold fire button and wave it side-to-side. 100% works on Serious. Don't pick the stuff that spawns in the middle of the fight btw, it triggers a red scorp who makes things way more complicated.

I didn't care for it. The guns felt weak and looked too old-fashioned for me (I prefer modern/futuristic guns). The screaming suicide bombers are also a problem. It's not just that they're annoying, they also make it basically impossible to play the game in a window with the sound off while watching a Youtube video or something, which is something I often like to do with action games.
