Finally the scene has cracked it.
>>
Wait, wasn't it cracked already?

Pretty impressive it remained uncracked this long.

They cracked Arxan in GTAV kiddo. Have some respect.
>>
>>337511485
It was a workaround of sorts, Denuvo wasn't cracked.
>>
>>337511410
m8 this was cracked the first day it came out
>>
>>337511914
It's fake. Scene still haven't cracked Denuvo, and they won't until it can be done properly. Shit-tier 3DM chink cracks aren't allowed in the scene.

>Too bad I always hated MGS gameplay

MGSV plays nothing older MGS games. You might like this one if you just try it.
>>
The scene is dead as fuck. Nowadays most cracking is just applying the same steam overwrite on fucking everything and be done with it. The moment something challenging comes along no one fucking can do anything.
>>
>>337512414
It's the challenging things like Denuvo that reinject new life into the scene. It will be cracked eventually and probably even by a new group.
>>
>>337512414
Naturally. The people with the expertise to crack Denuvo are more than capable of getting very high paying jobs and have no incentive to crack games they can easily afford. The amount of time they would have to work is unreasonably high considering the only thing they will get for their hard work is a reputation for working their ass off for free; which just puts more thankless work on their plate.

It just look like I have to wait 8 months to play free games to me
>>
>>337512704
This is truer than we think. In the past those people were just believed to be shallow criminals. People not pirating, especially higher ups couldn't see how those people were anything but shitty criminals who wanted to destroy their buisness. Only like in the last 5 years companies realized that they're extremely skilled and a really valueable workforce. Now the best hackers in the scene work in the industry.
>>
>>337512414
the "scene" as we know it died when bittorrent came out and the advent of social media created stupid shit like skidrowgames that people believe is actually a site ran by the group themselves. it was also only a matter of time before someone created another uncrackable starforce like what chaos thoery used before ubi finally removed it for a lesser version when the rootkit scandal happened which only then finally allowed it to be cracked like 2 years later.
>>

None/most of those weren't cracked by the scene, they were cracked by some shitty chinese P2P group like 3DM who have dodgy as fuck cracks that barely work and only trick the DRM instead of properly dealing with it.
>>
>>337513374
Can you at least play the game with 3DM's shitty workarounds?
>>
do you think doom will get crack by 3dm this weekend?
>>
The moment 3DM pulled out there was no chance for a denuvo crack. China is the only country left with a legit underworld hacking scene. Cracking there benefits you since it's basically stocking up your resume.

No.
>>
>>337513674
no, the last denuvo game (mgsv) that was cracked/worked around was last fall. nothing has been playable since.
>>
>>337513374
>only trick the DRM
That's what most cracks are doing nowadays

Also it's been a "let's find the best workaround" party since the 90s
And the newer protection methods were almost always workarounds to our workarounds, too

They didn't start making code protections for dvd because they felt like that, they did it because people started to copy dvds
they didn't start using drm because they wanted to improve, it was because we started using keygens

still, you can't expect reverse engineering as something normal in 2016
>>
>>337512141
It's not happening, and you seem to have some weird veneration for some unspoken scene code, as CPY's cracks are based on the way 3DM faked the client auth process for DA:I

Until someone magically beats anti-tamper containers, those chink cracks and all their derivatives are the best you have, and when a bunch of poorfag Asians are clowning MUH SCENE, release purity means nothing when you have zero to show
>>
>>337513674
Nu Denuvo is never getting cracked in this lifetime until someone leaks the master keys, and that will only ever happen if it involves a corporate suicide, and the one way it COULD be theoretically "cracked" was patched once the really shitty Tomb Raider method was discovered
>>
>>337513658
Sort of. MGSV is playable from start to finish but it crashes a lot and I believe the prologue needs to be skipped entirely.

For a good comparison of 3DM vs scene just look at GTAV. First 3DM crack came out within hours, and barely worked, and it only worked on Windows 7. They released a few revisions of their crack to fix issues but it's still a dodgy crack.

RELOADED released their crack 2 months later and it's absolutely flawless. No crashes or anything.

>>337513674
3DM said they're giving up with denuvo now because the new games take too much effort to crack, since you essentially need to reverse engineer a virtual machine language. Takes far too much time per each game.

Piracy is looking bleak right now, although I'm still optimistic for the future. These things always pull through. I think Denuvo will be cracked sooner or later.

>>337513934
It's not about MUH scene or release purity whatever, it's able the actual quality of the crack. Scene cracks are almost always solid and work well, while chink cracks are dodgy as fuck and the games are often barely playable.

It was cracked soon after release m8, I played through most of the game with a cracked version.
Granted, it didn't work for everyone, but the point remains.

i paid 30€ for that piece of shit

I'm still mad. Fuck Kojima.

People getting excited about Denuvo are pretty much the pc version of the consolefags getting excited when mommy sony or daddy microsoft are announcing a new console exclusive.
>>
Denuvo came out with great timing.
We got to the point when literally all the new AAA games that can afford Denuvo license are complete, utter, unredeemable, unsalvageable even with heavy modding (if they even allow modding at all) level of trash.
A few years before there was still occasionally an EA/Acti/Ubi triumvirate of evil published casual garbage I was kind of interested in, but not anymore.
>>
>>337514586
this

I didnt even know it used denuvo since I played through with a pirate copy
>>
>>337515837
Ubi is still ok to me.
Never released a bad game that I was actually expecting to be good.
>>
>>337516451
Expecting most of their games to be bad doesn't make the publisher any better.
>>
>>337517206
I just have good taste anon.
If I'm interested in a game and I play it, and I found out it's actually good, then I think its developers/publisher did a good job.

If they announce a game and I'm not even interested, and then a lot of people buy it and don't like it, why should | care? It doesn't make Ubi worse to my eyes in any way.

maybe you should get better tastes anon, instead of drooling after the next AAA online shooter
>>
>>337511410
you lame ass. it's been cracked for ages. my torrent is still sitting in my folder. i'm only 10% into the game, i actually considered deleting.

i want to play doom tho. not spending 60 on that tho
