I played the beta, due to the old blood preorder, and I only played 20 min of deathmatch. It sucks, it's like a poor Q3 with classes and no weapon pickups. Singleplayer looks fun though.

I'm unsure about DOOM though, from what I've seen its a big step in the right direction for FPS but not quite there yet, so I'm not sure I want to bother with it until it gets cheap.

Not sure what else to say, but it's kinda like how doom 3 should have been with a story, I really wish there was no fucking cutscenes but there's a VERY minimal amount.
Doom guy feels slow as fuck so if you want to run and gun you really can't, so you can't blitz through levels, I might have to hack the game to fix his speed to 3 times the amount or some shit.

Slow it down to about 0.5 speed and that's almost how I felt when I played it, probably more like 0.6-0.7 speed but you get the idea.
I get 60 FPS btw.
It's a shame none of the enemies really feel threatening, I just usually box them for fun I thought I might play on normal for my first playthrough I shoulda done a harder diff.
Also forget about the chainsaw, it's more of a "oh fuck I'm low on ammo, better use this on another enemy!", which sucks balls.
The perks are pretty cool though.

Dark Souls 3 is good. Not as good as 1 or Bloodborne, but much better than 2 and on par with Demon's.
Overwatch is okay based on the beta. Seems like it will get old very quickly.
Doom is a solid game, nothing amazing but it has enough of the classic ingredients to be worth playing. Multiplayer is awful though. If it gets a sequel I hope they cut the upgrade system, loadouts for multiplayer, and ratchet up the difficulty and enemy aggressiveness quite a bit. If they do that a sequel could be great. Which means they'll probably do the opposite. But anyway, Doom is decent. Maybe rent/pirate it though.

I'm three hours in, it's pretty fun. Only ever played Doom I through, II about halfway and maybe five minutes of 3 in 2004 or something like that.

Movement is pretty quick by modern standards (and much faster than shit like Halo, despite what retards here claim) but it's not as fast as the original games. It's only a big deal to autists. Projectiles are a tad slower too, which is again not a big deal but considering they were already pretty slow in the originals it's kind of disappointing.
The biggest change to pace is the lack of hitscan enemies. I'm torn on this one, because while hitscan is cheap as fuck it's absence does mean you don't have to keep on the move as much as the older games. This, plus the enemies not being very aggressive, makes it somewhat less intense than the old games. I'm still enjoying it though.
