I'm cautiously optimistic since it can't possible be any worse than the trainwreck that was Zestiria.
I'm watching to see how it turns out. I didn't buy Zestiria because of how awful it looks, but this one only looks slightly better. So I'll wait and see.

Graces F was the last Tales game I bought. I pirated Xillia 1/2 and Zestiria, because I didn't like them. I will definitely try out Berseria, but I'm a bit worried since it's a prequel to Zesitira. They will obviously copy a lot of assets from it.

>Gain new upgrade materials through 'dismantling' - In order to strengthen your equipment, you need specific materials. Besides being able to obtain these materials in the field or from battle, you can dismantle your currently owned equipment for parts which you can use to strengthen new weapons you obtain.
>In shops, besides buying equipment, you can also strengthen/upgrade your equipment, or dismantle them for parts. When you upgrade them, their stats go up, and you can obtain new skills [kyouka bonus].
>Skills to strengthen the characters - Apart from aparts which are a fundamental in battles, skills relate to the strengthening of characters. Raising stats, and having a chance at adding a special effect to normal attacks, there are various types of skills. In order to gain these effects, you have to equip the equipment, or set Titles to a character that you gain when certain conditions have been met. When you fight with the items equipped, your proficiency(equipment level?) goes up, when the level reaches its max, you learn a Master Skill (refer to first paragraph).

He continues to help her and the party after this event, and although he is not apart of the party, remains a character with a very interesting personality. He is one of many who are waiting to encounter our group [Velvet's party], so please be excited.
>Hiougi (Mystic Artes) - the activation conditions for higher level mystic artes have become a bit complicated, but as for mystic artes themselves, you can use them early on and the early ones you have access to are easy to activate. You use the face buttons to activate them, and just like the easy to combo artes, it delivers refreshing and easy to control/manage(adaptive?) battles. When you activate the Mystic Arte, depending on which type, the cut-ins will change, and sometimes they show the full body.
>Skills - like artes and mystic artes, the skills have been made more easy to understand. Looking back at the complex system of changes through synthesis from previous titles/the previous title (Zestiria?), equipping and fighting with weapons with skills you like, and while you move through the game you can use the materials that you naturlly collect, and therefore can gain powerful equipment and skills. There are also rare materials, so you should try to go after specific bosses, and make sure you dismantle your equipment. This a feature that provides a nice challenge.

I really didn't like having everything spoiled by the time Zestiria came out, I also didn't like every discussion getting slammed with shit opinions by importers either.
It's looking pretty good, seems like they are paying attention to the input/complaints of the fans for once.
I don't expect it to be very long because of development times but if I get something around the level of X2 that is enough for me.

My theory is they just don't care. I think Kojima and other westaboos aim for simultaneous release because they recognize the west as fans and want them to experience the game at the same time. I don't know if it's true or not, but it's how I see it based off of the treatment of westerners getting jap merch.
