Things you should never ever do in Souls:
Summoning
Quick rolling
Shields
Attacking
Moving
Basically you parry your way through the game letting the inertia from the parry to move you forward. If you fall down a cliff while doing that then you need to git gud. Also no attacking after the parry, you just let the enemies fall down cliffs after the parry animation finishes In the case of bosses they'll just commit sudoku after the frustration of all their attacks being parried. My dad works at FROM and told me so after beating me with a +5 enchanted belt. I told him upgraded weapons are crutches and he should also git gud.

Yeah, last night I was summoned for PvP and met by gangsquad and had the same thing happened, I just kinda chuckled I mean. I understand the schadenfreude in ruining someones fun but why wait around just to gloat if you didnt really want to pvp in the first place? just wasting both our time.
Summoning is only perfectly fine on bosses. The level areas aren't bad, if anything, just run straight to the boss and summon someone.

any time i've summoned, it has been apparent that the game is not in any way balanced around a 2player experience. it's not like d2 where someone else enters the game and enemies get stronger.
with a summon, bosses in dark souls are simply 0 challenge. any boss i've been rekt by has been killed within a minute by me + a summon. i have never died in dark souls while a summon was on the field.
for me, it completely erases the challenge, which cuts into my fun and my sense of achievement. so i have not summoned since DS1 when i was a noob.

Only played through Undead Settlement with a friend cause he wanted to play together. Beat the boss there and decided to to play with them again since we blaze through it too easily. Only used Siegward against Yhorm to complete his quest line.
