There should be separate game modes that have bigger lobby sizes.
Keep the 6v6 as the main GM for obvious reasons, but have an option to play games with 6v6 min and like 10v10 max. This would allow for more advanced team composition. This way 2 people can play support without having the team have low damage or no tank, for instance.
