The glory kills really don't bother me at all.
They're fast and they have an element of risk behind executing them because if you do, you leave yourself open to all the explosions and gunfire and rushing enemies as soon as you exit the animation.
I've died multiple times because I've executed a glory kill at the wrong time.

I highly recommend everyone turn off all the casual pop ups in this game. No compass, no Glory Kill flash notifications, no Press E to activate this switch, none of that shit. When you turn that crap off it feels like a proper shooter with a clean UI.
It also makes it so that Glory Kills actually feel satisfying, in that you triggered it because you knew the enemy was stunned not because the game clearly told you to do so.
I haven't had this much fun in ages. I don't mind there not being a ton of enemies on screen because the Imps are fast little fuckers.
